Hardwick Hall has always been my favorite historical home, it had been many years since my last visit but it was even more beautiful than I remembered. It is so easy to imagine Bess of Hardwick and the subsequent residents of the Hall walking the long gallery or grounds in their formal gowns!
Visiting many years ago as a child I always loved the bedrooms with their magnificent four poster beds and tapestried walls.
